We are thrilled to share the joyous success of the University Open Day held on 1st July 2023, a momentous occasion that unfolded in a festive atmosphere, making a significant milestone in the University of Peradeniya. The memorial event organized for the first time has left an indelible mark showcasing the vibrance and offering of our university community.
The University of Peradeniya (UOP), one of Sri Lanka's leading educational institutions, celebrated its 80 anniversary with a successful Open Day on July 1, 2023. The event attracted thousands of visitors from across the country. All nine faculties of the University were open to the public, allowing visitors the opportunity to explore the campus, interact with faculty members and students, participate in interactive sessions, and gain valuable insights into the diverse academic programs and opportunities offered by UOP. Guided campus tours, interactive science exhibitions, art exhibitions, cultural performances, food stalls, club and student society booths, as well as music and singing performances were organized by undergraduate students. Current undergraduate students were also available to address any queries or concerns.
